Strengthening Rural Children & Families with Mentoring
Prevention Focus: Secondary – Mentoring
The Strengthening Families Through Asset Building project (Audrain County) trains parents of at-risk children to be the primary caring role model in their child’s life while matching the children with a community-based Big Brother/Sister who will be a child’s secondary support. The program incorporates comprehensive modules of asset building parent training to its in-home visits and consultations with families and training for staff and volunteers.
