Parenting Skills for Young Parents
Parenting Skills for Young Parents builds and strengthens parenting skills among participants in the Butler County Community Resources Council’s Teen Parent Mentoring Program and in the Early Head Start Program using the Systematic Training for Effective Parent (STEP) curriculum. Increased knowledge in understanding young children and their behaviors, building self-esteem in early childhood years, improved parent/child communication skills and teaching effective discipline are goals of this program.
