Child Abuse Prevention Education
The Child Abuse Prevention Education program offers parent education classes that promote increased knowledge and awareness of parenting skills, self-care, practical stress management, communication skills, and positive approaches to discipline. In addition, the Safety First series promotes increased knowledge of age appropriate sexual behaviors. Community workshops, open to the general public, covering ADHD, discipline, childhood trauma, internet safety, healthy body image are offered throughout the year and work to increase knowledge and awareness of youth, family, parenting and community issues.
