Healthy Babies
This discretionary grant supports the Healthy Babies home visitation program by providing health and safety items for at-risk families participating in the program. Through the Healthy Babies program, health department staff conduct home visits at least once per month providing support services and educational materials using the Partners for a Healthy Baby curriculum. Parents are provided with health and safety items such as sleep sacks, outlet covers, bathtub thermometers, diapers which are also used to facilitate learning opportunities between the parent and home visitor.
