Empowering Families – In-Home Parent Training
The Empowering Families project works to prevent child abuse and neglect through a variety of evidence based models providing home based parent education for underserved populations in Greene and surrounding counties. The curricula for the parent education classes/workshops include Active Parenting 1-2-3-4; Active Parenting of Teens, Families in Action; and Parenting Wisely. Topics covered include child development knowledge and care, nurturing, discipline, and promoting cognitive and academic skills.

Empowering Parents
The Empowering Parents project prevents child abuse and neglect through a variety of evidence-based models by providing parenting education classes for two underserved populations in Greene County – parents of teens and teens who are parents. The curricula for the parent education classes/workshops include Active Parenting 1-2-3-4 Parents; Active Parenting of Teens, Families in Action; and Parenting Wisely. Additional services, such as parent coaching and home visitation are used in adjunct to The Empowering Parents project.
