The Dads Mentoring Dads project trains volunteers to serve as mentors to fathers who are interested in improving their parenting skills. Mentors commit to one year of regular contact and agree to be trained on how to help and support their matched mentee with parenting issues including child development, communication, discipline, budgeting, job-seeking and interviewing skills. Designed on parent education/parent training and peer support/social support strategies, mentors and mentees are supported by the program coordinator.
