Teen Parent Support
Synergy’s teen parent services are designed to help pregnant and parenting teens acquire the personal, family and life skills necessary to creating safe and healthy lives for their children. Strength-based services focus on reducing/mitigating risk factors such as domestic violence, young maternal age, and low educational level of teen parents. Teen Parent Support provides parent support volunteers who work one-on-one with teen mothers. In addition, monthly educational meetings provide information on topics such as child abuse and neglect prevention, health and nutrition, parenting skills and child care, life skills, and promoting lifelong learning.
