Enhancing Families Through Outreach
Utilizing the Resource Mothers’ model, Enhancing Families Through Outreach is a home-based prenatal health education program that targets women during their pregnancy and follows them through the first year of their child’s life. The home visits serve to promote access to pre-natal care and wellness check-ups, and to provide culturally relevant education on pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. In addition, the program will address the needs of children who have witnessed family violence, have developmental delays and/or experiencing problems associated with poverty. Service area includes the southeast counties of Butler, Carter, Iron, Reynolds, Shannon, and Wayne
