DadLine – Fatherhood Support & Education Program
General Prevention Grant
Prevention Focus: Secondary – Teen Parent Support & Education
The DadLine program uses trained volunteer fatherhood mentors to deliver the 24/7 Dad Curriculum from the National Fatherhood Initiative, an evidence-based curriculum designed to better equip fathers in their role as “dad.” The 24/7 Dad program helps fathers develop parenting skills while learning about themselves and their role as a father and in a family. Strategies to build healthy relationships with their child and child’s mother are taught. The goal of the program is to increase the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible and committed fathers. Service area includes the northeast Missouri counties of Adair, Knox, Macon, Putnam, Schuyler and Sullivan.
