Missouri Baptist Children’s Home (MBCH) Children and Family Ministries is enhancing their Pregnancy Services Program by adding a parent education module using the evidence based Nurturing Parents curriculum. Pregnancy Service Specialists work with at-risk clients to create a plan to promote healthy and safe home environments, build parenting skills through child development education, encourage educational opportunities (GED, job readiness resources), and assist with accessing concrete supports (medical care, housing, transportation). This program encompasses the southeast Missouri counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Perry, Scott and Stoddard.
