Family Empowerment Program/Building Strong Families
Prevention Model: Primary and Secondary – Community Based Awareness and Home Visitation Services
Focused on preventing child abuse and keeping families together, the Building Strong Families program uses evidence-informed practices to move families from instability and chronic crises to an environment where children thrive. The program is strengths-based, trauma-informed and client-centered. The program promotes the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, and uses case management and crisis nursery/respite services to help families reduce their risk of child abuse and neglect. Service are for this prevention program includes Lincoln, Warren, and St. Charles counties.
