Parent Advisory Council

The Missouri Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of family leaders located around the state who raise issues facing families to a higher level with the goal of improving access to programs for young children and families.

The Purpose
To Engage and Empower Missouri Families

The Members
PAC members are family leaders who have experience working with state and local
agencies that provide services to Missouri families with young children.

Parent Advisory Council Meetings
The Missouri State PAC was established in 2016 to help child-serving state systems
hear parent voices. Regional PACs were established to expand parent representation
across the state and further increase the number of voices heard. Along with the State
PAC, the Regional PACs help create meaningful two-way communication between the
state and local levels.
The Regional PACs meet twice each year, in April and October, and the state PAC
meetings follow in May and November. Each Regional PAC nominates two parent
leaders to represent it at the State PAC, where they meet with representatives of childserving
state systems.
Visit the Parent Advisory Council meetings page for summarized responses from
Regional and State PAC meetings. This page will be updated as meetings occur and
notes become available.
