      As Missouri’s foundation for child abuse prevention, the Children’s Trust Fund’s (CTF’s) primary responsibility is to provide grants to community-based agencies and organizations throughout the state that focus on strengthening families and preventing child maltreatment.

      As part of its mission, the Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) engages in public education campaigns to heighten the awareness and importance of child abuse and neglect prevention.

Strengthening Families Initiative

The Missouri Strengthening Families Initiative (SFI), supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), is a cost effective strategy to prevent child abuse and neglect by helping early childhood centers work with families to build protective factors around children. Missouri Children’s Trust Fund currently supports the SFI model in six child care centers through a grant provided by the National Alliance of Children’s Trust and Prevention Funds.
